How employers can get involved in the South West
First get in touch with your local SHD Diploma Consortium (see below). These are groups made up of schools, colleges, training providers and employers which have formed a partnership to deliver the SHD Diploma from September 2008. Your local Care Ambassador project is already working with one of the Consortia.
Decide how much time and commitment your organisation can offer. It doesn't matter how large or small your organisation is. There are various ways you can get involved such as:
- Providing context placements
- Offering mentoring to young people
- Contributing to learning resources
- Helping with assignments and projects
