Welcome to Careers in Care the Care Ambassador Scheme run by Care Learning for the West of England. This covers the areas of Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Care Learning is an employer partnership supporting the social care sector with workforce development.

The Care Ambassador Scheme was established in the West of England in 2005 and has developed over the years in many ways. We are pleased to have over 40 Care Ambassadors signed up to the scheme who represent a wide vareity of social care settings including residential and nursing care, early years, learning difficulties, mental health, social work and occupational therapy.

fp1Our team of volunteers, which include seven male ambassadors, work with schools and colleges and other agencies including Job Centre Plus, the Apprenticeship Scheme, the Society, Health & Development Diploma and Adult Education groups.  We get involved in events such as Careers Fairs, Industry Days, Mock Interviews, Subject specific workshops and much more.

Our vision is to 'inspire a new generation of care professionals' and break long-held myths and taboos about working in the sector and celebrate the amazing work that care professionals do.
